For example, curd cookies in the form of rose buds can be a great gift for the holiday. It is prepared simply - even a child can handle it. And how surprised mom or grandmother such an unusual present on International Women's Day! So, let's get started.

Essential Products

  • To make cookies in the form of roses, you will need:
  • 300g/10oz cottage cheese;
  • 200g/7oz sugar;
  • 2 eggs;
  • 200g/7oz butter;
  • 3,5 cups of wheat flour;
  • vanilla sugar - 1 sachet (10g/0.3oz);
  • 10g/0.3oz baking powder.

For the preparation of cookies, soft cottage cheese of 5% fat content (creamy) is best suited. Premium flour can be mixed with a small amount of wholemeal flour (3: 1). Then the cookies will be more useful and dietary, which will also please any woman who watches her figure.

The process of making cookies in the form of roses on March 8

Step 1. In a deep bowl, break 2 eggs, add granulated sugar, cottage cheese and vanilla sugar. Mix everything thoroughly with a spoon or fork. If the cottage cheese is solid, with large grains, it is better to use a blender to beat the egg-curd mass.

Step 2. In another bowl, mix the softened butter and 3 cups of flour mixed with a baking powder for the dough (leave the remaining flour on the bedding). Rub into crumbs. Flour should be pre-sieved through a sieve.

Step 3. Add flour and butter to the curd mass and thoroughly knead the dough. It should turn out elastic, stick a little to your hands. We remove the dough for 1-2 hours in the refrigerator, wrapping it in a cling film.

Step 4. Divide the chilled dough into 4 parts and roll out one of them with a rolling pin into a layer 3-4 mm thick. The working surface of the table should be sprinkled with flour. If necessary, add a little more flour to the dough if it sticks to your hands or a rolling pin.

Step 5. Using a glass, cut out circles of dough about 6 cm in diameter from the dough. Remove the remaining dough from the table.

Advice! The main part of the test (the one that is not yet rolled out on the table) should be kept in the refrigerator. In the heat, it quickly softens and begins to stick to the hands, the working surface.

Step 6. We put the four circles of dough overlapping each other.

Step 7. Wrap the resulting chain of circles with a tube.

Step 8. Cut the tube with a sharp knife in half and pinch the bases of each of them with your fingers so that the bud retains its shape when baking.

Step 9. We form the “flowers” ​​from the remaining circles of the dough and put them on a baking sheet, the bottom of which is lined with baking paper. In the process of baking, "rosebuds" will significantly increase in size, so you should leave a space between them. Next, gradually roll out the remaining 3 parts of the dough (from the refrigerator) plus the leftovers.

Advice! Chains of circles should be formed immediately after rolling out the dough layer on the working surface, and then roll the tubes out of them. Otherwise, the dough will soften, and the circles will begin to stick to the table, deform.

We put the baking sheet in the oven, heated to 180 °C / 365 °F degrees for 20-25 minutes.

Step 10. After a while, the cookies will brown. We get it out of the oven. Ready “roses” can be sprinkled with powdered sugar.
